History is being made as ARAD 2021 expands to a virtual all-day event.
In addition to the morning session, there will be 12 peer-led sessions highlighting “Our Lives in Recovery.” ARAD 2021 will conclude with a statewide Virtual All Recovery Meeting, beginning at 7:00 PM, led by Neil Campbell and Jeff Breedlove.
2020 was a dangerous year for the Georgia Recovery Community. COVID-19 presented both a serious medical threat as well as a threat to recovery policy, services and funding.
COVID-19 is still with us and GCSA is preparing, right now, to fight for recovery funding both during the General Assembly in Atlanta and during the new Congress in Washington D.C. – the fight will be real and the fight will be hard.
You are recovery. You are the Georgia Recovery Community. It is your support which makes our advocacy voice strong. This will be the largest recovery event in Georgia in 2021. Because it is 100% via zoom, this is a unique opportunity for our peers, allies, families and professional helpers from across Georgia to connect, to learn, to advocate and to SHOW UP for recovery!
Help us shatter last years in person attendance of 1,300 as we show our elected officials that Georgia recovers together because recovery is real.

ARAD 2021 Official Ceremony
Join the Georgia Recovery Community for this historic ARAD during COVID-19. Each year, at the opening of Georgia’s legislative session, the Georgia Recovery Community joins together to communicate with our legislators and other state leaders to share our message that addiction is a preventable, treatable, chronic health condition, from which people do recover!
The 2021 ARAD Official Session is your opportunity to hear from recovery leaders and state leaders on those issues important to the Georgia Recovery Community. You will learn how to speak up for recovery, about the issues impacting recovery, and learn how to be a positive and powerful voice for recovery. Over 25 million Americans, including hundreds of thousands of Georgians, are in long-term recovery. We are spreading hope because RECOVERY IS REAL!
