CARES for Community Connections Peer Support Specialist
These individuals will be responsible for responding to persons in the emergency department who have experienced overdose or other challenges because of use or misuse of substances, primarily those who come in because of opioid use, in the Northeast Georgia Healthcare System (NGHS). This person will uphold the principles  and values of recovery and GCSA in all aspects of services provided to individuals, family members, friends, and allies and will provide connections to local recovery communities surrounding the hospitals, as well as treatment and recovery support services in these communities. GCSA will be hiring six individuals for these positions. CARES Warm-line Peer Support Specialist
These individuals will be responsible for providing telephone peer support to individuals experiencing challenges with opioid use, or misuse of other substances. Provide support to families, friends and allies who call, uphold the principles and values of recovery and GCSA in all aspects of services provided, and provide connections to local recovery communities as appropriate and linkages to treatment and recovery support services when requested. GCSA will be hiring two full time and three part time (up to 30 hours a week) individuals for these positions. The full time positions will be stationed in the GCSA offices and the part-time positions will work remotely. GCSA Warm-line CARES.17.7.27

 

Warm Line Manager
This person will be responsible for scheduling and coordination of services for five Certified Recovery Empowerment Specialists (CARES) providing warm-line peer support to persons seeking or in recovery, and/or family members, friends, and allies who call for support. Two of the individual responders on the warm-line will work full-time (40 hours) on-site at the GCSA home office and three will work part-time (up to 30 hours) remotely. Build relationships with partners and stakeholders to identify resources and recovery supports throughout Georgia. Provide individual and group training and performance management for the CARES responding to warm-line calls and ensure the principles and values of recovery and GCSA are upheld in all aspects of services provided to individuals, family members, friends, and allies. A valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable vehicle are required.
