Recovery Month Mini-Grant Applications Due Date

The Georgia Council on Substance Abuse (GCSA), through a contract from the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is currently seeking applications forJoin the Voices for Recovery: “Strengthen Families and Communities” mini-grants. Grants* of up to $2,000 each are available to support events during National Recovery Month, September 2017. Grants will be awarded to agencies, community coalitions, or groups with recovery-oriented projects and/or other activities that focus on celebrating or promoting Recovery Month. Every September, SAMHSA sponsors Recovery Month to increase awareness and understanding of mental and substance use issues by celebrating people in recovery. (SAMHSA, 2017).
The overall purpose of the Join the Voices for Recovery: “Strengthen Families and Communities”mini-grant program is to increase the number of Recovery Month activities, and promote recovery knowledge and participation across Georgia.  This program will promote the benefits of recovery for individuals, families and communities through education, training and celebrating recovery as a reality.  Come join us as we celebrate the lives of thousands of Georgians.  
*Please note that this is an expense reimbursement grant. Mini-grant recipients are required to submit receipts for pre-approved and actual expenses prior to receiving funds. Please click the application link below for additional information.
