Mary Hall Freedom House 2017 Steps to Freedom Flyer

Join together with the Mary Hall Freedom House and other families who will be walking to support the many needed steps to recovery! Vendors will be on site to provide resources and information to all participants and those in the community. Education of prevention and intervention methods are key to successful recovery. Families provide a great support system for those recovering from substance abuse. Participants can share their personal stories or friends and family recovery stories. Those in recovery will be celebrated through the countdown to recovery, to include a balloon release and ringing of the recovery bells, which will both be provided to all participants.

Care Partners of Georgia Rally for Recovery 2017 Flyer

This rally is hosted on campus at the auditorium and has “Ted Like” talks from individuals with a lived experience. An all-day event to come and fit a motivational talk into the daily schedule. Speakers both from the Cares program and Respect Institute will be the speakers. During intermissions, motivational slides are played with motivational inspired music. Resource tables of local services will be set up as well as counselor from EGSC and local providers. They want a positive image with the students so they will seek help on campus. Community programs, surrounding communities are invited to this event as well.

Hope House will be hosting a public event for their community and surrounding communities to promote and encourage recovery. The event will be hosted by a local church who believes our mission is valuable. We will have several speakers who have been impacted by recovery to share their stories with us. There will be a talent show with local and state talent entries. The goal is to provide hope and education on substance use disorder to all attending and provide a safe and sober environment for fun.

Teen Challenge: Hope starts Here-Family Fun Day @ The Market on Madison

This event is open to the community! Organizations from around Middle GA are coming together to celebrate National Recovery Month in Dublin, GA. This Family Fun Day is Free to the community and will include bounce houses for kids, art, music, dance, free food and more! In addition, the annual chili cook-off and corn hole tournament will take place.

Recovery Consultants of Atlanta-RCA Recovery Month Rally

Recovery Consultants of Atlanta and its collaborative partners will host this rally to celebrate individuals and families in recovery, laud the contributions of treatment and service providers, while promoting that recovery in all of its forms are possible. This event will “Speak Up- Reach Out” with speakers from the recovery community sharing stories that inspire through testimonials, poems and music. There are multiple avenues to recovery and we aspire to celebrate them all together in one place. There will be traditional treatment providers on site alongside nontraditional providers available to engage potential candidates with their information. Free health screenings will be given. During the event we will laud the contributions of service providers right here in the DeKalb area. Members from the 12-step and faith based communities are also represented as an effort to provide support to all seeking assistance with getting into recovery.

Face to Face RCO Taking it to the Streets

Face to Face Recovery Community Organization is looking to bring something that has never been brought to Jesup, Georgia. This event will reach out to different treatment providers and different services that will come and set up booths to give away different materials. There will be speakers throughout the day and different kinds of entertainment. The community will  be fed while having different activities for children to be involved in like inflatables, popcorn, balloons, and snow cones. Taking it To the Streets will be advertised through arm bands and flyers. The goal will be to engage the community thru fellowship and lots of fun, while bringing vision for recovery to the community. This event will ROCK the Community with a shot of Hope and Recovery!!
